About the project: The Kansas Collection  is a ten-part immersive theater epic that reimagines the beloved characters of L. Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz series. Featuring ARG elements and unlockable video content between chapters, audience members choose factions, solve mysteries, and collaborate with characters and each other to decide the fate of two worlds: Oz, and our own.

In The Key, a mysterious tent has appeared in Los Angeles, where guests meet either Phil or Phoebe Daring, residents of the magical land of Oz. Each unique track reveals different perspectives on Oz and its current ruler after Dorothy’s departure, the despotic Scarecrow. Guests are given the opportunity to prove themselves–or not–and after their “recruiting session” ends with them joining either the Scarecrow’s Militia or the underground Patchwork Resistance, guests receive a key, and a puzzle leading them to the site of the next chapter.
